Bournemouth summer fireworks return on Friday

The iconic weekly fireworks are confirmed to return to Bournemouth Pier tomorrow evening for the first time this summer.

Last year, the fireworks were canceled due to the pandemic, but the PCO board confirmed to the Echo that they are currently scheduled to unfold tomorrow as scheduled.

As part of the Coast Live Festival, the event is expected to draw large crowds around Pier Approach and the Lower Gardens on Friday August 6.

The free exhibit will see fireworks light up the sky at 10 p.m. with visitors encouraged by the organizers’ website to make it a night out by first going to a local bar or restaurant and then settling in on a lounge chair at their favorite spot on the coast to enjoy the show.

Cllr Beverly Dunlop, Senior BCP Board Member for Festival Coast Live, said: “Everyone involved in organizing this year’s events have done their best to ensure that residents and visitors alike can enjoy full entertainment. world-class air, in accordance with applicable government guidelines.

“We are really looking forward to hosting this exciting and popular event.

Last week, Poole Quay hosted its first week of exhibitions on Thursday, July 29, where its own exhibitions will be held every Thursday through September 2 with free live music and entertainment; hosted by CityFibre.

The Bournemouth fireworks are scheduled to run throughout August every Friday and then end on September 3.

Those who descend will be treated to a multitude of magnificent pyrotechnic delights along Bournemouth seafront.

The approach to the pier is expected to be very busy with the popular weekly feature always bringing in large crowds of locals and tourists alike to admire the nightly display as people start their weekend off on a high.

However, changes may occur with regards to events and visitors to future shows are encouraged to check official tourism social networks and the organizer’s website to stay up to date.
