Covid: 362 cases recorded in Dorset in past 24 hours

A TOTAL of 362 new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Dorset in the past 24 hours, according to the latest statistics.

The latest government figures show 362 people tested positive for Covid-19 in the county in the 24 hours leading up to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, September 29.

In the Dorset Council area, 242 new cases have been reported. Since the start of the pandemic, 26,199 cases have been confirmed in this area.

The seven-day rolling period for the Dorset Council region is 1,191 cases, with a case rate of 313.6 per 100,000 population.

There have been a total of 120 new cases recorded in the BCP Council area, bringing the total number of coronavirus cases since the start of the pandemic to 45,328.

The seven-day rolling period for BCP is 872 cases, with a case rate of 219.7 per 100,000 people.

During the coronavirus pandemic, 71,527 cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Dorset.

Elsewhere, the New Forest area has recorded 78 new cases of the coronavirus. The total number of cases since the start of the pandemic stands at 12,392 in the New Forest.

The seven-day total for New Forest is 524 with a case rate of 291.7 per 100,000 people.

In the UK, there were a total of 36,722 new cases. There have been 7,771,294 confirmed cases recorded in the UK since the start of the pandemic.
