Covid: 384 new cases recorded in Dorset in past 24 hours

A TOTAL of 384 new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Dorset in the past 24 hours, according to the latest statistics.

The latest government figures show 384 people tested positive for Covid-19 in the county in the 24 hours leading up to 4 p.m. on Monday, October 11.

In the Dorset Council area 206 new cases have been reported. Since the start of the pandemic, 28,413 cases have been confirmed in this area.

The seven-day rolling period for the Dorset Council region is 1,250 cases, with a case rate of 329.1 per 100,000 population.

There have been a total of 178 new cases recorded in the BCP Council area, bringing the total number of coronavirus cases since the start of the pandemic to 47,069.

The seven-day rolling period for BCP is 927 cases, with a case rate of 233.5 per 100,000 people.

During the coronavirus pandemic, 75,482 cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Dorset.

Elsewhere, the New Forest area has recorded 105 new cases of the coronavirus. The total number of cases since the start of the pandemic stands at 13,433 in the New Forest.

The seven-day total for New Forest is 552 with a case rate of 307.3 per 100,000 people.

In the UK, there have been a total of 40,224 new cases. There have been 8,139,769 confirmed cases recorded in the UK since the start of the pandemic.
