Covid: 530 cases recorded in Dorset in past 24 hours

A TOTAL of 530 new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Dorset in the past 24 hours, according to the latest figures.

The latest government figures show 530 people tested positive for Covid-19 in the county in the 24 hours leading up to 4 p.m. on Friday, November 19.

In the Dorset Council area, 259 new cases have been reported. Since the start of the pandemic, 39,678 cases have been confirmed in this area.

The seven-day rolling period for the Dorset Council region is 2,079 cases, with a case rate of 547.4 per 100,000 population.

There have been a total of 271 new cases recorded in the BCP Council area, bringing the total number of coronavirus cases since the start of the pandemic to 58,249.

The seven-day rolling period for PCO is 2,305 cases, with a case rate of 580.6 per 100,000 people.

During the coronavirus pandemic, 97,927 cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Dorset.

Elsewhere, the New Forest area has recorded 167 new cases of the coronavirus. The total number of cases since the start of the pandemic stands at 18,283.

The seven-day total for New Forest is 835 with a case rate of 464.8 per 100,000 people.

Across the UK, there have been a total of 44,242 new cases, meaning there have been 9,766,153 confirmed cases recorded in the UK since the start of the pandemic.
