DORSET has been named one of the UK’s Top Holiday Destinations.

As Brits plan to vacation in the UK this summer, the country’s beauty spots are becoming busier and more sought after than ever before.

National holidays are more popular than ever, increasing competition with holidaymakers who want to stay in some of the UK’s top destinations.

Family vacations are one of the biggest tourist markets here in the UK, and with the prospect of it happening again, more and more people are turning to Google to search for the vacation of their dreams in family.

With data showing that demand for family vacations is up 143% year over year, Stay in Cornwall analyzed Google data to reveal the UK’s most searched family holiday destination in the UK.

So where are the best family vacation destinations in Britain?

1. Cornwall

With over 1,300 searches per month for ‘Family Vacation in Cornwall’, it is clear that Cornwall is at the heart of vacationers’ concerns when planning a family trip.

Home to incredible, world-famous beaches and great surfing conditions, it’s not hard to see why people love Cornwall. Combine that with world-class attractions, famous food spots and fascinating mining heritage, and you’ve got a complete family holiday destination in the UK.

2. Lake District

In second place, with 590 searches per month, is the beautiful Lake District National Park of Cumbria. A perfect destination for outdoor families, there is certainly no shortage of outdoor adventures suitable for all ages, from adventure playgrounds and forest trails to water sports and wildlife viewing. Combine that with award-winning attractions, a ton of literary connections, and plenty of walking opportunities and you’ve got something for all tastes, ages, and interests.

3. Devon / Isle of Wight

In third place, with 480 searches per month, “Family Holidays in Devon” and “Family Holidays on the Isle of Wight”. The two close neighbors of Cornwall each provide a lot of fun on the doorstep.

Devon’s delight is the contrast between coast and countryside, offering the best of both. You can learn to surf the North Devon coast one day and walk the next day through herds of wild ponies on the rugged twists of Dartmoor National Park.

Then the Isle of Wight, with its pristine beaches, plethora of historic fossils, and iconic landmarks such as the Needles, is beloved by many – including the Queen.

4. Norfolk
