A flood warning has been put in place for England as the country braces for torrential rains this weekend.

The Met Office issued a yellow weather warning before Sunday when wet weather is expected to strike.

Showers are expected to start around noon and continue throughout the afternoon and evening.

The eastern regions of the country will experience the worst rains, with up to 30 to 40 mm of precipitation in some areas.

Experts believe the flood could lead to localized flooding and transportation disruption.

The Environment Agency has increased its flood risk level from “very low” to “low”.

It is advisable to continue checking for flood warnings in your area, monitoring weather conditions and traffic information.
