IMAGES: Police release CCTV footage after M&S purse theft

A WOMAN who had her purse stolen while shopping at Marks and Spencer later found that over £ 130 had been used on her bank cards.

Officers investigating the theft and subsequent fraudulent use of the card have now released two CCTV images of a woman they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

The handbag was stolen from the store on Seamoor Road, Westbourne, Bournemouth between 3.15 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Friday 25 June.

Police said a stolen bank card was then used to make a number of transactions at various shops in the area, totaling more than £ 130.

Police Community Support Investigator Steph Garner of Bournemouth Police said: ‘We are investigating this matter and have obtained CCTV footage of a woman we would like to speak to as part of our investigation.

“I urge members of the public to contact us if they have any information relating to his identity.”
