Man was filming female students in Holdenhurst Road

A MAN was seen filming female students as they walked along Holdenhurst Road before attempting to gain access to a university building.

Police are investigating the incident which occurred around 1:30 p.m. Thursday, September 30.

Two female witnesses to the incident were seen approaching a member of Tesco security staff on Holdenhurst Road. The incident was reported to Force by two nearby construction workers.

Officers attended and a 57-year-old man from Poole has been identified and is assisting officers in their investigation. No arrests were made.

Constable Zachary Dredge of Bournemouth Police said: ‘Our investigations into this incident are ongoing. Unfortunately, we do not have details of the two women who witnessed the incident and approached Tesco security personnel. I ask these people to please contact us so that we can take this into account.

“I would also ask anyone else who has witnessed this reported incident or been approached by a male in unusual circumstances to please contact me.

“Officers from the local neighborhood police team will be patrolling the area and can be approached by anyone in the community with information or concerns.”
