Michael Ball and Alfie Boe cancel show after star catches covid

Michael Ball and Alfie Boe’s picnic show in New Milton has been cancelled, after half of the singing duo tested positive for covid.

The duo were due to perform at the Chewton Glen Hotel in Christchurch Road on Tuesday July 12.

A spokesperson for the concert said: Unfortunately, due to Michael having contracted Covid-19, we regret to inform you that the Michael Ball & Alfie Boe show at Chewton Glen will not take place tomorrow evening (Tuesday July 12).

“We are working hard to reschedule the show and hope to announce a new date very soon. We will keep you informed of any further developments as soon as possible.

“Michael apologizes and is absolutely devastated that he won’t be able to perform tomorrow night, but he hopes to see you all soon.”

Ball & Boe’s debut album ‘Together’ became the UK’s best-selling album of 2016 and beat bands like Little Mix and The Rolling Stones to Christmas number one.

Their follow-up “Together Again” brought the duo another No. 1 album in 2017, and “Back Together,” their third album, earned them second place.

As a duo they have now sold over 1.3 million albums in the UK, received two Classic Brit Awards, sold out two arena tours and presented three ITV specials.
