Motorbikes stolen in Christchurch dealership robbery

Burglars stole two motorbikes from a Christchurch dealership in the middle of the night.

Dorset Police have launched an investigation into the Motorbiking burglary in Barrack Road.

Officers located the stolen motorcycles nearby during searches on the morning of Tuesday August 9.

Residents reported seeing armed police in the Somerford Estate area around 3:30 a.m., believed to be linked to the incident.

Police arrested three men, all of whom were released under investigation.

A Dorset Police spokeswoman said: ‘We were called at 12.39am on Tuesday August 9 to a report of a burglary at Motorbiking on Barrack Road in Christchurch.

“Two motorbikes were reportedly stolen, but were recovered by nearby officers as they searched the area.

“Three men aged 19, 20 and 38 have been arrested on suspicion of motor vehicle theft, burglary and interference with a vehicle and have been released under investigation while investigations continue.

“An investigation is underway.”
