The musical duo will perform in support of the latest Carnage album

Nick Cave and Warren Ellis have announced a huge UK tour for 2021. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday 23 July.

The tour comes in support of their critically acclaimed album Carnage, released in February. Usually working together as part of the Bad Seeds, this is the first time the duo have released an entire album of new material credited only to Cave & Ellis, outside of their prolific career in film scores.

Created over a period of a few weeks during the lockdown, Ellis said of the album, “Making Carnage was an accelerated process of intense creativity. All eight songs were there in one form or another for the first two and a half days.

Cave passed the lockdown in a generally prolific fashion, kicking off the 24-hour YouTube stream Teevee Bad Seeds and a Nick Cave-themed paraphernalia online store, Cave things. He also continued Red hand files, his regular email correspondence with fans, and released a special performance of his songs in a deserted concert hall, Silly Prayer: Nick Cave alone at Alexandra Palace.
