A RETIRED real estate developer this week organized a series of events for its owners in recognition of Loneliness Awareness Week.

Platinum Skies Dorset and Wiltshire Independent Living Communities owners over 55 have organized events in support of Loneliness Awareness Week.

Activities included an afternoon wine tasting at Vista in Parkstone, board games, cards and an afternoon at the pool, as well as twice daily coffee mornings at Esprit in downtown Poole .

Laura Warwick, Director of Lifestyle, Wellness and Entertainment at Platinum Skies, said: “We are proud to support Loneliness Awareness Week which encourages people to talk to a friend or relative s ‘they feel lonely. Some of our owners previously lived in rural and remote areas so they can relate to those who are not currently enjoying the lifestyle offered by a Platinum Skies property. They have moved to our communities to make new friends, participate in our activities as much or as little as they want and often find purpose in this next chapter of their lives.

Platinum Skies is having an open house week in Poole and Salisbury from June 28 to July 4, and in Sherborne and Taunton from July 5 to 11. During events, the public can view and reserve a choice of condominium homes, while the Sherborne and Taunton Apartments are available for reservation off plan.

Prices for Platinum Skies homes are made affordable through a government-backed condominium program provided in partnership with Homes England.

For more information and to reserve a seat at the Open House Week events, visit Platinumskies.co.uk or call 01202 040996.
