Sandpolo returns to Sandbanks Beach in Dorset in July 2022

Sandpolo is poised to break attendance records as it reaches the 15-year milestone.

The British Beach Polo Championships, otherwise known as Sandpolo, celebrate their 15th anniversary on July 8-9.

The event, which has become a highlight of Dorset’s summer social calendar, introduced the exciting sport of polo to a new and much wider audience who can observe the agility and skill of players and ponies up close the beach arena.

The boutique weekend is constantly evolving and it has also gained international acclaim with visitors from all over the world and has become synonymous with global luxury brands like Moët & Chandon and Land Rover.

Today the two-day event, which attracts 8,000 people, is still based on the original principle of being piloted by Polo, with a wide range of tickets ranging from hospitality and VIP to general admission .

Off-the-pitch entertainment is key to its success, with glamorous parties on both nights enjoyed by players and fans alike.

This year, Friday night hosts ‘Boogie on the Beach’, a Soul, Motown and Disco event featuring the legendary The Real Thing, while Saturday’s closing party, named Encore, features the Ibiza Classics Orchestra. of 14 musicians alongside Jazzie B OBE of Soul II Soul. and a host of DJs.
