South Lytchett Manor Caravan and Camping Park named UK’s Best

The site also received the Global Winner Award, beating other sites in Scotland and Wales.

AA inspectors called the site “an elite tourism park with superb glamping and excellent customer service.”

The award winners were announced in a virtual ceremony, celebrating the UK’s best campsites for the first time since 2019.

An AA inspector said: “Year-over-year improvements are being made by the passionate and practical owners of South Lytchett to exceed customer expectations, including a new cafe, six new glamping pods, 21 new locations in drive and the addition of two chic mobile toilet units in the tourism and camping fields.

“Set within the grounds of a historic mansion, the site has modern facilities that are immaculate and well maintained. There is a TV socket on each pitch and free Wi-Fi throughout the park.

“A warm and friendly welcome awaits you at this charming site well situated for visiting Poole and Bournemouth. Four elegantly furnished and well-equipped Roma caravans, with a double bed and two single beds as well as a kitchen and a fridge, are available for hire. There are also seven upscale shepherd’s huts with luxurious interiors and underfloor heating.

Earlier this year, South Lytchett Manor won the overall gold title at the South West Tourism Excellence Awards in the camping and caravan section.
