A pizzeria in southwest Sydney has temporarily closed after a customer tested positive for coronavirus.
Mancini’s original wood-fired pizza in Belfield alerted customers via a Facebook ad on July 14.

“Mancinis had a customer who tested positive for Covid-19 visit the restaurant on Friday July 10 for dinner,” the restaurant said in a statement.
“NSW Health has advised us that we are at low risk as the customer has been in the restaurant for an hour and has remained in their group.
“We gave NSW Health our contacts for the night and they were all informed and said to watch for symptoms including our staff.
“We choose to close the doors for 3 days from tomorrow and have the restaurant thoroughly cleaned by professionals.
“The health and safety of our customers is a priority for us, so we will be shutting down and cleaning for good measure.
“Our employees will all be tested and those who were at the restaurant that evening have been notified. We will reopen on Saturday July 18th. Sorry for the inconvenience.”
The development comes after a neighboring suburb of Belmore became one of 10 on alert after links to COVID cases.
Health officials have urged anyone in Belmore, Caringbah, Casula, Kurnell, Merimbula, Murray Downs, Narellan, Picton, Pyrmont and Villawood to be alert for symptoms of the coronavirus, which include cough, fever, sore or itchy throat and l shortness of breath.
Other reported symptoms include loss of smell and taste, runny nose, muscle pain, joint pain, diarrhea, nausea / vomiting, and loss of appetite.
If symptoms are noticed, residents should self-isolate immediately and get tested.
