While there are still months to say goodbye to 2021, the UK has already seen £ 68.8bn of residential properties sold so far in 2021. Largely fueled by the stamp duty holiday, the real estate market showed no signs of slowing down, recording nearly 200,000 successful transactions. since early 2021.

But which zip codes have had the most homes sold in 2021 so far? Research by national estate agent Keller Williams UK has revealed where the hottest pockets of the property market lie in England and Wales.

Unsurprisingly, London does not take first place. Considering how the city has been snubbed during pandemic buying, it has only made the top 10 once.

Keller Williams UK CEO Ben Taylor said: “We have heard a lot in recent months about how the stamp duty holiday has led to a huge increase in property sales. While this is generally true, some areas have seen a much higher number of homes sold than others.

“Nowhere more than these real estate postcode hotspots and it is impressive to see such a vast regional expanse with the list including areas in London, the South West and the Midlands.

“This is not to say that other regions are not performing well and it is undeniable that the impact of the stamp duty holiday has been felt in just about every area.”

For the research, the real estate agency has looked at transactions for postal codes since the start of the year.
