Travel and tourism expert opens new agency

ONE of Ireland’s most experienced travel and tourism figures, Diane Poole, has launched her own consultancy to provide strategic advice and support to the industry as the Covid-19 recovery process begins to start.

DP Consultancy offers a range of services to companies working in the tourism, travel and leisure industry, including strategy development, networking and lobbying, individual and team mentoring and crisis management, to name a few.

Diane has been an active member of the travel industry for more than 40 years since joining NI Railways in the 1970s, during which time she gained extensive experience in a number of industrial sectors, including travel in ferry, destination marketing and the development of strategic partnerships.

She has also held a number of advisory positions on the Board of Directors including President of Causeway Coast and Glens Tourism Partnership for over 15 years and in 2009 she received an OBE for her services to the tourism industry. tourism in Northern Ireland.

Diane is now eager to use her vast experience to help companies come out of the Covid-19 pandemic that has devastated the industry for the past 14 months.

“The past 12 months have been extremely difficult for everyone involved in the travel and tourism sector, one of the hardest hit industries in our local economy,” said Diane.

“However, as the green shoots of positivity appear with the continued easing of lockdown restrictions, now is the time for the industry to reset to prepare for the ‘reboot.’

“Through DP Consultancy, I want to use my 40 years of experience, my skills and my network of contacts to help organizations, groups or individuals who wish to redefine their objectives in the sector and plan their growth again.
