The Dorset Tourism Awards celebrate Dorset’s best businesses, with an annual awards ceremony, which this year saw 54 winners announced during a day-long online awards ceremony on February 10

2022 is the competition’s ninth year, with the ceremony concluding nine months of entries, judging and company visits. After a difficult year for all, there were many examples of excellence, innovation and resilience. Additionally, many Dorset businesses have found time to become significant contributors to the county’s efforts to support key workers and those in difficulty.

Two members of the high quality Premier Parks group have won awards in the Camping & Caravanning Park of the Year category. Gold went to Monkton Wyld Holiday Park, near Charmouth, while South Lytchett Manor Caravan & Camping Park, near Poole, received silver.

Winners in most categories will automatically be considered for the South West Regional Tourism Excellence Awards later in the year, and many will be nominated to represent the region in the national VisitEngland Awards.
