Bournemouth and Poole summer fireworks: everything you need to know

THE spectacular weekly fireworks display across the city kicks off tonight at Poole Quay.

Called in last year due to the pandemic, the free and popular nightly events are expected to draw large crowds.

Two minutes of bright green fireworks will mark the start of the entertainment in Poole, which will take place every Thursday through September 2 inclusive.

Cllr Beverley Dunlop, Senior BCP Board Member for Festival Coast Live, said: “Everyone involved in organizing this year’s events went above and beyond to ensure that residents and visitors alike can enjoy full entertainment. world-class air, in accordance with applicable government guidelines. We are really looking forward to hosting this exciting and popular event in this beautiful location.

The fireworks are part of the CityFibre Spectacular, which will offer a series of themed nights at Poole Quay. Entertainment starts at 7 p.m. and continues until 10 p.m., with fireworks providing a dramatic end to the night.

Lucy Cooper, CityFibre City Manager, said: “We have worked incredibly hard alongside our colleagues at BCP Council to deliver this year’s exceptional entertainment.

“This is an event that we know to be so popular with residents and visitors alike, which is why we have gone out of our way to make sure we can host six theme nights and the all-important fireworks for all. . ”

Meanwhile, the Bournemouth Pier fireworks will resume on Friday 6th August.

The free event also sees a bright array of fireworks fill the night sky at 10 p.m.

The weekly Bournemouth attraction will take place every Friday in August.

The two weekly fireworks displays are organized by BCP Tourisme and are part of the Festival Coast Live program of activities and events taking place this summer in the city.
