New Lidl opens in Shaftesbury this week

LIDL GB has confirmed that its new supermarket on Christy’s Lane in Shaftesbury will open for the first time on Thursday.

The store’s opening hours will be 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday to Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

During the first week of opening, customers will be able to find deals and offers on select products, including a rechargeable electric toothbrush for £ 7.99 and a Sanitas back and neck heating pad for 8, £ 99.

As part of the company’s ongoing £ 1.3 billion expansion and regeneration plans across Britain for 2021 and 2022, the store will create around 40 new jobs for the local community.

The new supermarket will include facilities comprising a sales area of ​​1,261 square meters, an in-store bakery, customer toilets as well as 117 parking spaces which will include two fast-charging spaces for electric vehicles, seven spaces dedicated to disabled people as well as eight places for parents and children.
