AN ONLINE business that sells famous fashion brands at discount prices will have more staff and a bigger warehouse after winning a council grant.

Highstreet Outlet plans to expand its staff team as well as have a new website and larger premises to house a greater variety of inventory.

BCP Council has invested in companies that are either struggling due to Covid or have shown great growth potential.

Highstreet Outlet, based in Poole, fell into the growth category, scoring high on the council’s criteria for innovation, deliverability, community benefit and the ability to create ‘pride in place’.

It will move from the industrial area of ​​Nuffield to the industrial area of ​​Benridge Park in Creekmoor.

Company directors Katrina Day and Julie Burden said, “We are delighted to receive this grant which will help us with our ambitious growth plans. We really love what we do, and being able to create employment opportunities here in Dorset is what drives us.

“We plan to further develop our website and acquire larger premises to allow us to expand our product line of womenswear, as well as menswear and homewear.

“Most importantly, we look forward to expanding our team and creating new opportunities within the company for our current colleagues.”

The family business Highstreet Outlet started as a home based business 15 years ago and specializes in surplus and last season clothing.
