Tributes to The Call Center star Nev Wilshire

Tributes were paid to businessman and reality TV star Nev Wilshire after his death.

Mr Wilshire rose to prominence as the boss of the Swansea Call Center on the BBC Three reality series The Call Center, which aired between 2013 and 2014.

The fly-on-the-wall documentary series followed the ups and downs of call center staff, led by Mr Wilshire.

His family said the father of four, from Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, was “much loved” by his children and “adored” by his six grandchildren.

“It is with the greatest sadness that we announce the passing of Neville Wilshire. Beloved father of his four children, Becci, Jon, Phil and Abi,” they said in the announcement posted on Twitter.

“Son of Marian and the late Professor Brian Wilshire. Brother of Ralph and the late Keith Wilshire. Loved Grampy Nev to her six wonderful grandchildren. We ask you to respect our privacy in these sad times.

“In daddy’s own words, ‘Take care of each other and take care of each other. When it all comes down to the end of my life, I won’t give people detailed instructions on how to run a successful business, I will respond to how those around me are. Family is very important to me, both my immediate family and those with whom I share my time every day. The more you give, the more you receive. The heart of the matter is about the heart… I am by nature a happy person and I do my best to create a happy environment around me… We all have to take setbacks in life, we just need to get over it. saddle up with a smile on your face and ride ‘.

TV presenter Hayley Pearce, who was the tea lady on the BBC series, paid tribute to the ‘biggest boss in the world’ and said Mr Wilshire had changed his life.

“It’s a tribute to the greatest boss in the world who ever lived,” she said on Twitter.

“But as many of you know, he was more than the boss to me. He was like family.

“The memories we have created together are the ones I will cherish and talk about for the rest of my life.

“The Tea Lady was born by Nev and I can’t thank him enough for believing in me and seeing something in me.”

“I have so much more to say about him, so much more.

“He changed my life. But for now, it’s just to pay tribute and appreciate how great a guy he was.
