Musical accompaniment by Nosferatu at Burton Bradstock

A spellbinding live cinema experience is coming to West Dorset.

Gothic horror Nosferatu can be seen at Burton Bradstock on Sunday March 27.

Bristol-based quartet Minima will perform live at Burton Bradstock Village Hall, creating an original, live score to one of the silent era’s masterpieces, 1922’s Nosferatu. gothic, combined with a chilling performance by Max Shrek as the vampire set the pattern for many horror films that followed. With a dark and tender humor too, it is a story of desire and the search for fulfillment.

Minima specializes in creating live accompaniments for silent film screenings, performing on a variety of instruments including cello, double bass, baritone guitar, acoustic and electric guitars, and mandolin.

With an array of acclaimed performances at venues including the Barbican Centre, BFI Southbank, Glastonbury Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival, Minima has also recorded original music for short films by contemporary filmmakers.

Minima comes to Burton Bradstock through the Dorset charity Artsreach.
