Richard Turner, president of the Mid-Sussex League Division One club, said the incident was “absolutely disgusting”.
“These things save lives and someone has come to wreck them,” he told the PA News Agency.
âThe whole world saw what happened to Christian Eriksen on Saturday, so why would anyone think it’s OK?
âEveryone at the club volunteers, we are working hard for what we have, but now we will have to raise funds to replace him.
“It’s just heartbreaking.”
Mr Turner said that before the incident, Buxted FC were celebrating the victory of the Mid-Sussex League Division One trophy.
