A DIY expert has revealed her tips for wrapping Christmas gifts, revealing the common mistake many of us make when wrapping box-shaped gifts.
Sharing it all in a YouTube post, mom Kallie Branciforte reveals how the diagonal wrapping method will save you time and money this holiday season.
Explaining that while many of us wrap boxes by simply placing the box in the middle of a square of wrapping paper, it can often waste a lot of wrapping paper and lead to imperfect results.
Kallie, who runs the hit blog But First, Coffee also reveals that the diagonal wrapping method is also perfect when you don’t have enough paper for the box in question or you’ve just cut your paper too small.
She says it works, “even when you think you don’t have enough paper to wrap an item.”

“It works if you cut your paper too small, but it will also save you money because you don’t have to buy so much wrapping paper.”
In a nutshell, it works by placing the box diagonally in the middle of the wrapping paper and then gluing the two corners at the top of the box.
You then fold the pieces of paper at the end of the box using Kallie’s technique to fold the edges so they’re flush with the box.
You then repeat this process on each side until the box is completely wrapped.
Easy, right?
