Woman fights for life after car crash at Poole Roundabout

An 18-year-old woman is fighting for her life in hospital after a car crash at Poole Roundabout.

Police, firefighters and paramedics rushed to the Mannings Heath roundabout shortly after 5 a.m. on Sunday, November 21.

The force had received a report of a single vehicle collision involving a blue Ford Fiesta Zetec.

A woman was taken to hospital for treatment for potentially life-threatening injuries. His family has been informed.

A local man in his twenties has been arrested on suspicion of a traffic violation and is assisting officers in their investigations.

Road closures have been put in place to allow emergency services to respond to the incident and for a site review to take place.

Officers investigating the serious injury accident are calling for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward.

Traffic Unit Sergeant Mark Scammell said: “We are investigating to establish all the circumstances of this collision. I urge anyone who witnesses the incident, or how to drive before the collision, to contact us.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who might have captured anything on the dashcam that might help our investigations.

“Finally, I want to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding while the closures are in place. ”
