The best bakeries in Dorset

[ad_1]

As the wintry air begins to pinch our cheeks, is there anything more heartwarming than a warm cinnamon bun or a freshly baked butter croissant?

We’ve rounded up some of the top rated bakeries in the county so you can enjoy a potter up to one and fill your boots (literally, if you want).

Here are the top rated bakeries in Dorset according to TripAdvisor:

805 Christchurch Road, Bournemouth BH7 6AP England

The famous M’s Bakery in Pokesdown is the highest rated bakery in the county, famous for its delicious cakes and “phenomenal” bread.

One reviewer said: “The best bakery in town by far! The bread is phenomenal and the pastries are hands down the best in Bournemouth.”

Another customer said: “What a gem on the main street!

“You cannot be disappointed with the artisan range of this little boutique.

“We tried the sourdough bread (the crispiest crusts), the mini cherry tarts (usually filled with fruit), the spicy sausage rolls (the best I’ve tried anywhere), the filled croissants cheese (baked with cheese inside and so tasty), mini cheese scones (sold in sets of 6 and it was lucky because my kids only left me one to try) and one delicious coffee.

“There was so much to choose from, I can’t wait for my next visit.

“It must be a local favorite and an asset to local tourism. May they trade! ”

  • 4. Pastry The Little Prince

48B Poole Road Westbourne, Bournemouth BH4 9DZ

Described as a ‘different class’, Le Petit Prince Patisserie in Westbourne is the county’s fourth best bakery.

The French Patisserie and Bakery has stores in Westbourne, Wimborne, Ferndown and Winton.

One customer said: “We only ordered pastries and toast with coffee. Delicious sour toast and fabulous coffee. Would definitely stay here again when we return to Westbourne.”

Another happy reviewer said: “Outstanding bakery and cafe. Delicious bread, top quality delicate cakes and pastries. Much better than equivalent local bakeries.

“A different class. Delicious salads and top quality coffee.”

  • 5. Corfe Castle village bakery

Described as a ‘very great jewel in the crown of Dorset’, Corfe Castle Village Bakery offers a range of freshly baked sweets and savory items with something for everyone.

The traditional bakery is ranked as the fifth best in all of Dorset.

A satisfied customer said: “What an awesome piece of jewelry! It’s not very often that you come across a bakery, which is not part of a mainstream chain. Highly recommended and very good price for the quantity and quality received. ”

Another said: “What a fantastic bakery we always call when we visit Corfe. Everything that is produced on site in the bakery is absolutely second to none. Honestly, I have not tasted such good cakes and pastries from elsewhere. I cannot recommend this brilliant little medieval bakery enough.

“It is often not easy to stay calm and pleasant when you are very busy, but the staff always succeed and are always welcoming and smiling.”
