Coronavirus: 24 new cases recorded in Dorset in latest figures

MORE than 20 cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Dorset, according to the latest statistics.

The latest government figures show 24 people tested positive for Covid-19 in the county in the 24 hours leading up to 4 p.m. on Monday, June 7.

In the Dorset Council area nine new cases have been reported. Since the start of the pandemic, 11,998 cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in this area.

In the latest rolling seven-day period for the Dorset Council region, 32 cases of Covid-19 have been reported, with a case rate of 8.5 per 100,000 people.

A total of 15 new cases have been registered within the BCP Council, bringing the total number of coronavirus cases since the start of the pandemic to 25,568.

The seven-day rolling period for PCO is 45 cases, with a case rate of 11.4 per 100,000 people.

The latest figures released on Sunday are a decrease in coronavirus cases reported on Saturday June 5 after 28 people tested positive for Covid-19.

During the coronavirus pandemic, 37,542 cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Dorset.

Elsewhere, the New Forest area has recorded four new cases of the coronavirus. The total number of cases since the start of the pandemic stands at 6,246 in the New Forest.

The seven-day total for New Forest is 10, with a case rate of 5.6 per 100,000 people.
