Coronavirus: two new cases confirmed in Dorset

ONLY two people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Dorset, according to the latest figures.

The latest government figures show two new cases were recorded in Dorset in the last 24-hour period through Thursday 27 May.

No new cases have been recorded in the Dorset Council area. As of March 2020, 11,944 cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in the Dorset Council region.

The number of coronavirus cases in the latest rolling seven-day period for the Dorset Council region is 19 cases, with a case rate of 5 per 100,000 people.

Two new cases were recorded in the BCP Council area during the same period. The total number of coronavirus cases since the start of the pandemic in this area now stands at 25,468.

The seven-day rolling period for BCP is 29 cases, with a case rate of 7.3 per 100,000 people.

The total number of coronavirus cases recorded in Dorset since the start of the pandemic is 37,412.

In the New Forest, four new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in the past 24 hours. The total number of coronavirus cases since the start of the pandemic in this area now stands at 6,230.

The seven-day period for New Forest is 10, with a case rate of 5.6 per 100,000 population.
