Train lines at Brockenhurst closed due to maintenance work

TRAIN lines affecting Dorset passengers will be closed in December due to maintenance work.

Modified rail and bus services will replace trains in the Brockenhurst area on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 December.

Cross-country services will be affected by closures all weekend and Great Western Railway services will be affected on Sunday.

On Saturday, the following service changes will be made:

Services from London Waterloo to Weymouth will end at Brockenhurst. Some services will also call in Shawford, Eastleigh, Totton, Ashurst and Beaulieu Road.

Stop services from Winchester to Poole will not work.

Fast buses will run between Southampton Airport Parkway, Bournemouth and Poole. Fast buses will also run between Southampton Central and Bournemouth.

Buses will run between Brockenhurst, Bournemouth and Poole.

A revised service will operate between Bournemouth and Weymouth.

On Sunday, the following services will be affected:

Services from London Waterloo to Weymouth will end at Southampton Central.

Services from London Waterloo to Poole will also stop at Swaythling and St Denys and terminate at Southampton Central.

Fast buses will run between Southampton Airport Parkway, Bournemouth and Poole.

Buses will operate between Southampton Central, Brockenhurst, Bournemouth and Poole.

Brockenhurst services to Lymington Pier will not operate.

Buses will run between Southampton Central and New Milton via Brockenhurst and Lymington.

Additional services will operate between Poole and Weymouth.

Services from Salisbury to Romsey via Southampton Central will end at Romsey.

Buses will run between Romsey and Southampton Central via Redbridge. Ford of Chandler will be served by the Great Western Railway’s hijacked services.
